Bringing the Sky Indoors: Our Recent Lutron Motorized Skylight Installation

At Gallant Custom Shading, we love a challenge—and our latest project was no exception. We recently completed the installation of a Lutron motorized skylight shade on a truly massive skylight, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

A Skylight Like No Other

This wasn’t your typical residential window treatment. The skylight measured a staggering 10 feet by 14 feet, flooding the space below with beautiful natural light. While the effect was breathtaking, it also presented a real problem: controlling sunlight, heat gain, and glare throughout the day.

The end result? A whisper-quiet, smooth-operating shade that opens and closes on demand, adapting to the time of day and season. Not only does it offer remarkable energy efficiency and UV protection, but it also enhances the overall aesthetic of the space with clean lines and minimal hardware.
